Job Description

This role involves providing technical expertise and planning for a large healthcare facility project at Mayo Clinic, collaborating with project teams, and translating planning concepts into actionable documentation. The position requires a background in architecture or related fields, with a focus on health projects and sustainable design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert and planner for a healthcare facility project.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
  • Participate in user group meetings to assess space utilization and refine program needs.
  • Communicate planning concepts to project teams and owners through reports and graphics.
  • Translate planning concepts for clients, designers, and project team members.
  • Contribute to the development and review of planning concepts and solutions.
  • Assist in developing architectural drawings and specifications for construction.
  • Help develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process.
  • Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  • Maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Provide guidance and advice to other designers and project leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required.
  • Minimum 6 years of related experience, with at least 2 years of previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on Health projects.
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Must possess working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
  • Must be analytical.
  • Must be an independent thinker.
  • Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required.
  • Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
  • Travel required.
