Job Description

The role involves leading the Education market at CannonDesign, focusing on business development, client engagement, and team leadership to drive strategic growth and financial performance. The position requires mentoring staff, integrating design services, and promoting Living-Centered Design while ensuring the success of the market business plan.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership of the Education market within one or more offices.
  • Develop and lead high-performance diverse teams focused on the Market Business Plan.
  • Contribute to business development and client engagement.
  • Integrate design services and manage processes for financial performance.
  • Advance strategic initiatives and client pursuit strategies.
  • Grow the top line by identifying and pursuing new clients and nurturing existing relationships.
  • Lead client projects and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Identify future market trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement business plan initiatives.
  • Assess, mentor, and recruit staff to build a high-performance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
  • Strong presentation skills are essential.
  • Exceptional client and people leadership skills required.
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
  • Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
  • Some travel required.
