Job Description
This role involves leading the Education market within CannonDesign by driving business development, client engagement, team leadership, and market growth, with a focus on delivering innovative design solutions and fostering strong client relationships to support the firm's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performance, diverse teams focused on the Education market.
- Develop and execute the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead client engagement on projects, fostering strong long-term relationships and innovative solutions.
- Enhance the market's brand through external speaking, writing, and promotional activities.
- Support practice development, including mentoring staff, recruiting talent, and advancing firm initiatives.
- Advance strategic initiatives, market differentiation, and client pursuit strategies.
- Manage the overall top-line revenue and profitability of the market, including achieving financial goals.
- Assess market trends and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Lead staff development efforts, including mentoring, coaching, and building a high-performing, inclusive team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
- Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
- Strong presentation skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel required.
