Job Description
The role involves leading the Education Market at CannonDesign, focusing on business development, client engagement, and team leadership to drive market growth and financial performance while promoting Living-Centered Design principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead high-performance diverse teams focused on the Education Market Business Plan.
- Drive business development and client engagement to achieve a minimum 10% growth of the practice annually.
- Lead client relationships on billable project-specific work and advance innovative solutions.
- Act as a leading voice for the market through speaking events and promotional activities.
- Advance strategic initiatives and client pursuit discussions to foster market growth.
- Identify and pursue new target clients while nurturing existing client relationships.
- Demonstrate commitment to clients by actively participating in select client project opportunities.
- Assess, mentor, and recruit staff to build a high-performance and diverse team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
- Must have 12 years minimum experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
- Strong presentation skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel required.
