Job Description
This role involves contributing to architectural design projects through conceptualization, visualization, client presentations, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, with responsibilities including design development, client communication, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to conceptual and full architectural design support throughout projects.
- Incorporate business and communication objectives into strategic design solutions.
- Participate in client meetings and present design ideas effectively.
- Prepare client presentation materials, including 2D and 3D visualizations.
- Design projects to meet budget and owner requirements.
- Collaborate closely with interior designers and subject matter experts on holistic design solutions.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve project-related issues proactively.
- Mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture or related field required.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of related professional experience required.
- Architectural Registration in Canada preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
- Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Additional 3D modeling experience in Rhino or other comparable software preferred.
- Experience with one or more real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work.
- Some experience in computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo preferred.
- Ability to perform overtime work and travel, including site visits if appropriate.
