This role involves contributing to architectural design, coordination, and detailing within a multidisciplinary team, with responsibilities including project management, client communication, site inspections, and potential leadership in project and team activities, primarily in healthcare projects.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing within a multi-disciplinary team
Assist in coordinating engineering systems with engineers and consultants
Maintain communication with the Owner and Consultants regarding project status, design intent, and concerns
Prepare design sketches of moderate to complex site plans
Ensure project documents are coordinated across disciplines
Evaluate designs for code compliance and assist in plan check review and approvals
Perform field site inspections and walk-throughs
Coordinate with team members on project assignments
Supervise, monitor, train, and direct work of interns and less experienced team members
Take leadership roles within project teams and meetings
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
Minimum 6 years of related professional experience required.
Current Architectural Registration in Canada required.
Must be a fully qualified professional.
Must possess technical capabilities.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Must be able to perform work with some degree of latitude and with some ambiguity in work.
Must be a critical thinker and highly analytical.
Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects are required.
Must have a strong creative design portfolio.
Previous experience on Healthcare projects strongly preferred.
CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
