The Environmental Engineer or Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. This role supports operational excellence by identifying environmental risks, conducting impact assessments, developing and implementing sound environmental management systems, and driving continuous improvement. This Environmental Specialist serves as SME for environmental aspects of manufacturing and construction of the facility to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. He or She partners closely with the project team, manufacturing groups, engineering, and site leadership teams to ensure compliance with EPA regulations, reduce environmental impact, and proper management of wastes generated at the facility.
