Technical Solution Engineer - Inverter

The Technical Solution Engineer – Inverter Products supports the design, evaluation, and integration of utility‑scale energy storage systems (ESS) with a strong focus on Power Conversion Systems (PCS). This role requires a system‑level understanding of power electronics, safety, and multi‑product integration across inverters, EMS, batteries, and grid interfaces. The engineer contributes to internal product development, external vendor assessments, validation efforts, and coordination with global engineering teams to ensure technical consistency and alignment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in power converter, inverter development or ESS.
• Strong technical foundation in power electronics, inverter‑based resources and certification process.
• Knowledge of BESS applications and hands‑on experience with testing, validation, or system modeling.
• Familiarity with relevant certifications and standards such as UL 1741/SA, UL 9540, IEEE 1547, IEC 62109, IEC 61850.
• Experience working with global engineering or manufacturing teams across multiple time zones.
• Demonstrated ability to build internal tools, automate processes, or develop engineering workflows.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Mandarin proficiency is beneficial but not required.
• Deep competency in inverter technologies and power electronics.
• Strong communication ability across internal teams and with customer engineering groups.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple technical streams.
• Experience in vendor evaluation, technical documentation review, and product qualification.
• Ability to collaborate across global time zones and adapt to dynamic project needs.
• Ability to travel up to 15% for vendor assessments, validation testing, and technical workshops.
