Job Description
A senior process engineer responsible for process design, simulation modeling, and revamp of refining, petrochemical, and chemical facilities, including preparing process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and participating in safety reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform process design for new and existing facilities, including simulation modeling and equipment evaluation.
- Develop and update process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and instrumentation process data for revamp projects.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and evaluate existing equipment for process improvements.
- Participate in safety reviews and assess relief systems.
- Prepare technical documentation such as heat and material balances, equipment specifications, and process data.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in process design, including simulation modeling of process plant facilities such as refining, petrochemical, or chemical plants.
- Experience in the preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Heat and Material Balances, Equipment Specifications, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P IDs).
- Experience in process design for both new and existing facilities, including simulation modeling for revamping existing facilities and evaluation of existing equipment and hydraulic modeling.
- Ability to prepare PFDs for revamp conditions and update P IDs accordingly.
- Experience in preparation of Instrumentation Process Data and Relief Systems Evaluation.
- Ability to participate in safety reviews related to process design.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to meet all client-specific site requirements prior to deployment on field assignments, including physical mobility on the ground and at heights, and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and work off platforms or scaffolding using appropriate fall protection.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, goggles, ear plugs, masks, respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and steel-toed work boots.
- Willingness to adhere to client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site.
- Willingness to meet client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site.
