Job Description
The role involves business development in the clean energy sector, focusing on building client relationships and managing the sales pipeline for energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. The candidate will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, proposing, negotiating, and closing sales opportunities to meet revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase market reach and opportunity pipeline through client-facing business development activities.
- Develop and manage strong client relationships to originate and close sales opportunities.
- Meet or exceed individual and company sales plan targets for revenue in key applications.
- Identify and create opportunities by leveraging a network of existing clients and relationships.
- Elevate client relationships and engage new key accounts with support from the President Partnerships team.
- Identify and leverage channel partners to extend pipeline opportunities.
- Work with internal product support to tailor proposals to meet client financial, operational, and sustainability objectives.
Requirements
- 10 years of work experience in client facing roles in energy efficiency and renewable energy
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field
- Understanding of key building systems and renewable energy space
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Experience and understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability solutions in the commercial, institutional, or industrial markets
- Effective client relationship development skills
- Local knowledge that enhances an intentional approach to targeted vertical markets
- Strong teamwork skills
- Relentless passion to enable clients to achieve their energy efficiency and sustainability objectives
- Ability to work a minimum of thirty 30 hours each week, with an average of forty 40 hours expected
- Travel Required up to 25% within the Northeast
- This is a non-safety sensitive position
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $150,000 - $180,000
Work schedule: Minimum of 30 hours per week, averaging 40 hours with overtime required
