Job Description
The Area Sales Manager leads and coaches the sales team within a specific geographic market, focusing on recruiting, training, and exceeding sales goals in the roofing industry while providing excellent customer service and strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to sales representatives in the territory
- Recruit, train, and onboard sales professionals within the territory
- Ensure the territory achieves and exceeds sales goals through effective leadership and collaboration
- Assist in generating sales and supporting sales activities
- Travel to other markets to support or recruit additional sales staff
- Deliver top-level customer service
Requirements
- Experience in leading, coaching, and providing strategic guidance to sales teams, with a focus on sales representatives in a specific market or territory.
- Proven ability to recruit, train, and onboard sales professionals within a designated territory.
- Ability to ensure the sales territory achieves and exceeds sales goals through effective leadership, accountability, and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills necessary for leading through influence and providing top-level customer service.
- Willingness to learn about the roofing industry and develop knowledge of roofing products and services.
- Ability to assist in generating sales and contribute to sales growth within the territory.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other markets as needed to support additional sales staff or market needs.
- Interest in the roofing industry and a demonstrated willingness to learn about industry-specific products and practices.
