Job Description
The Area Sales Manager leads and coaches the sales team within a specific territory, focusing on recruiting, training, and exceeding sales goals in the roofing industry while providing excellent customer service and strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to sales representatives in the territory
- Recruit, train, and onboard sales professionals within the territory
- Ensure sales team achieves and exceeds sales goals through leadership and collaboration
- Assist in generating sales and building customer relationships
- Travel to other markets to support sales staff needs
Requirements
- Experience in providing leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to sales representatives or similar team members.
- Ability to directly own the recruiting, training, and onboarding of sales professionals within the territory.
- Proven track record of helping a sales territory achieve and exceed sales goals through effective leadership, accountability, and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn about the roofing industry.
- Ability to assist in generating sales.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other markets needing additional sales staff.
