Job Description
The Project Administrator at Blue Ridge Power manages administrative, compliance, and labor-related tasks for solar projects, ensuring adherence to wage laws and regulations while supporting project teams with reporting, HR, and workflow processes.
Responsibilities
- •Manage administrative, clerical, and labor compliance tasks related to projects
- •Ensure adherence to prevailing wage laws and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) requirements
- •Prepare payroll-related reports, analyses, and statements for projects
- •Review and verify subcontractor Certified Payroll Registers and compliance documentation
- •Coordinate and track prevailing wage projects within LPC Tracker
- •Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely data submission
- •Support training on LPC tracker for subcontractors and internal staff
- •Act as HR liaison for on-site hires, terminations, and performance issues
- •Manage pre-boarding, orientation, and employee records
- •Provide customer service and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- •Four years of experience in business administration.
- •Two years of experience within finance and/or accounting, or payroll administrative roles, or similar experience.
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
- •Excellent organization and time management techniques.
- •Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- •Ability to maintain the highest confidentiality and preserve data security.
- •Associate degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- •Must possess and retain a current valid driver’s license.
- •Must be located on-site at the project site near Asheville, NC, and able to travel up to 10% to other project locations.
- •Must be able to sit and stand at a desk and utilize a computer for extended periods.
- •Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- •Must be on time and ready to work at the start of each standard shift.
- •Must always wear personnel protective equipment while on the project site, including hard hats, safety glasses, safety harnesses, ear protection, fire retardant clothing, and respirators when required.
