Job Description
The Senior Reliability Engineer at Bedrock Energy is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, safety, and reliability of drilling and auxiliary systems, by analyzing failures, implementing maintenance strategies, and driving systematic improvements to support the company's geothermal energy mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize equipment availability, safety, and learning velocity across drilling operations
- Own system-level reliability of coiled tubing units, pumping systems, mud solids control units, and auxiliary equipment
- Translate field failures into engineering improvements, maintenance strategies, and operational limits
- Convert field experiences and data into systematic reliability improvements using RCA, FRACAS, condition monitoring, and preventive maintenance
- Develop and implement reliability engineering practices to enhance technology and geothermal installation performance
Requirements
- Experience in reliability engineering, specifically owning system-level reliability of equipment such as coiled tubing units, pumping systems, mud solids control units, and auxiliary equipment.
- Ability to translate field failures into engineering improvements, maintenance strategies, and operational limits.
- Proficiency in structured reliability processes including Root Cause Analysis (RCAs), Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), condition monitoring, and preventive maintenance optimization.
- Experience in converting field experiences and data into systematic reliability improvements.
- Ability to maximize equipment availability, safety, and learning velocity across operational sites.
- Experience working across field operations, engineering, and vendor relationships to improve reliability.
- Ability to ensure failures are understood, not repeated, and fed into measurable reliability improvements.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and practices related to equipment reliability.
- Demonstrated commitment to creating reliability engineering practices that support the safety, quality, and integrity of geothermal technology and installations.
