Job Description
The Manager, Project Finance at Avantus will be responsible for identifying potential project investors, leading financial modeling analysis, and managing the closing process for renewable energy projects. This role requires strong communication skills and expertise in project finance structures to support the company's utility-scale solar and storage project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential project investors and develop strategies for utility-scale solar and storage projects.
- Lead financial modeling analysis and provide contract negotiation support for power marketing efforts.
- Create and maintain complex project finance models for renewable energy projects.
- Review project documentation and integrate assumptions into financial models.
- Develop and run sensitivities in models to quantify impact on sponsor Internal Rate of Return.
- Create marketing materials for fundraising, including teasers and CIMs.
- Manage closing process and coordinate reviews across multi-functional teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking within renewable energy or a similar industry.
- Proficiency in project finance structures, including partnership flips, construction financing, and back-leverage.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams by managing financial, legal, and internal review processes to ensure successful transaction closures.
- Strong communication skills with a demonstrated history of building relationships and fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Adaptable to fast-paced and dynamic work environments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling expertise.
