Job Description
The Manager, Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the onboarding, operation, and performance of solar and battery energy projects, ensuring compliance, maximizing efficiency, and supporting financial and technical due diligence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in onboarding, managing, and closing out solar and battery projects from NTP to COD and post-COD operations.
- Review contract terms during construction and at Substantial Completion.
- Develop and manage project management tasks, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate technical, financial, and operational teams to meet project milestones.
- Conduct technical and financial due diligence for new project evaluations.
- Oversee revenue settlements, project costs, and financial performance monitoring.
- Collaborate on project budgets, financial models, and lessons learned for future projects.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and financial requirements.
- Manage warranty, maintenance activities, and performance assessments of solar and BESS systems.
- Coordinate with operations teams on asset performance, maintenance, and data analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Business or related discipline required.
- At least 2 years of experience in Finance, Asset Management, or a related field.
- Experience in the renewable energy industry and electrical performance of PV projects is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, and other MS Office suite products.
- Understanding of interconnection and PPA processes with major California and Western utilities and ISOs.
- Understanding of NERC compliant PV facilities is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient at extracting and summarizing large amounts of data and analyzing information.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to work across many different functions including finance, accounting, legal, and operations.
- Effective interactions with colleagues, investors, and lenders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
