Job Description
The Manager, Asset Management at Avantus oversees the operational, financial, and technical aspects of solar and battery energy projects, ensuring maximum performance, compliance, and efficient project onboarding from development to operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in onboarding, managing, and closing out solar and battery projects from NTP to post-COD operations
- Ensure project compliance with financial, contractual, and regulatory requirements
- Manage technical, financial, and operational aspects of projects, including revenue settlements and cost management
- Conduct technical and financial due diligence for new projects under evaluation
- Oversee project budgets, financial models, and reporting to stakeholders
- Coordinate with project owners, off-takers, lenders, and regulators to meet compliance and reporting deadlines
- Oversee warranty, maintenance activities, and performance assessments of solar and BESS systems
- Support project onboarding, documentation transfer, and archiving for operational readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Business or related discipline required.
- At least 2 years of experience in Finance, Asset Management, or a related field.
- Experience in the renewable energy industry and electrical performance of PV projects is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, and other MS Office suite products.
- Understanding of interconnection and PPA processes with major California and Western utilities and ISOs.
- Understanding of NERC compliant PV facilities is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient at extracting and summarizing large amounts of data and analyzing information.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently and across many different functions including finance, accounting, legal, and operations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
