Job Description
The Aurora Driver is responsible for safely piloting autonomous semi-trucks during testing and commercial operations, monitoring vehicle performance, providing real-time feedback to engineers, and representing the company while working in a collaborative environment to advance self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks during on-road and closed course testing
- Monitor the Aurora Driver and platform performance in real-time during testing
- Log feedback on autonomy and platform performance for engineering analysis
- Escalate operational issues with suggested solutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of self-driving technology and operational changes
- Work on cross-functional projects to demonstrate positive impact
- Interact with the public as an ambassador for Aurora
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience driving trucks commercially
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Interstate Class-A Commercial Driver's License
- Driving record must pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) guidelines
- Ability to travel as needed
- Available to work day and/or night shifts, second and/or third shifts, and rotating shifts as needed
- Ability to work some overtime and weekends regularly
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with 80% of shift time spent in the vehicle
- Must pass pre-employment, post-incident, and randomized drug testing in accordance with FMCSA requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Must pass DOT physical and meet all DOT qualifications
Benefits & Perks
Hourly wage range of $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
Eligibility for an annual bonus

Hybrid work environment with in-office presence at least 3 days per week
