Job Description
The role involves leading a team of engineers in the electrical validation of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) for Aurora's self-driving technology, ensuring product reliability and safety through hands-on technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, setting goals and managing priorities.
- Serve as the technical lead for PCBA electrical validation, including module and system-level validation.
- Drive sustaining engineering efforts, including root cause analysis and corrective actions for field issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Hardware Systems, Safety, Test, and Electrical Engineering.
- Ensure products meet high standards of reliability and safety through rigorous validation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related field.
- Proven experience in a technical leadership or management role.
- Expertise in PCBA electrical validation, including both module and system-level validation for low-voltage, mass-produced consumer electronics.
- Demonstrated experience with board bring-up.
- Strong focus on product reliability.
- Experience driving sustaining engineering efforts, including root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for issues found in the field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders.
