Job Description
The Staff Software Engineer will join Aurora's Map Fusion team, focusing on dynamically updating map content and routing plans in real-time, while ensuring high-integrity functionality for self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Dynamically update map content based on lane boundaries and construction blockages
- Update routing plans based on unexpected construction
- Produce smooth paths for motion planning trajectory optimization
- Ensure functionality is achieved in a high-integrity, highly available manner
- Develop mission-critical online algorithms for semantic mapping and motion planning
- Implement validation frameworks for large data sets in cloud compute environments
Requirements
- 10 years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in C and Python
- Fluency in Robotics Systems
- Fluency in Coordinate Frames and System Dynamics
