Job Description
The Senior Staff Product Designer will lead the design of customer experience tools for autonomous freight operations, creating intuitive, integrated digital solutions for trucking and logistics companies, while managing a design team and driving product impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the end-to-end customer experience for autonomous freight operations.
- Create and oversee digital tools for trucking and logistics companies to manage daily autonomous truck operations.
- Define interaction standards to ensure consistent, intuitive, and integrated user experiences.
- Conduct targeted research to inform product decisions and improve user experience.
- Develop self-serve recovery paths to enable users to resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage and mentor a Product Designer to enhance design quality and team capabilities.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in product design, with a track record of leading complex, multi-workstream projects
- Experience formally managing other designers
- A portfolio showing end-to-end work across research and design for complex enterprise, operational, or mission-critical systems, with clear evidence of business impact
- Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and UX research with a high bar for visual design quality
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate research insights and design rationale into clear, compelling narratives for executive, cross-functional, and technical audiences
