Job Description
The Senior Sales Manager at Aurora is responsible for managing the entire sales process, driving revenue growth by securing contracts with transportation clients, and serving as a subject matter expert on autonomous trucking solutions within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to deal closure and post-sale handoff.
- Identify and secure contracts with midsize and enterprise clients within the transportation fleet segment to drive revenue growth.
- Develop account strategies, craft proposals, present business cases, and lead complex contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Product, Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure solutions meet client needs and are feasible.
- Leverage knowledge of the transportation ecosystem and autonomous trucking technology to inform sales strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the transportation or logistics SaaS space.
- Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close with midsize and enterprise level transportation fleets.
- Highly organized, goal-oriented, metrics-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM.
- Ability to develop account strategies, craft compelling proposals, present customized business cases, and lead complex contract negotiations throughout all phases of the sales pipeline.
- Manage all phases of the sales pipeline, including prospecting, qualification, negotiation, deal closure, and post-sale account handoff.
- Work seamlessly with internal teams including Product, Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with client requirements.
- Leverage deep, practical knowledge of the current transportation ecosystem, including freight market trends, fleet operational models, and economic drivers for technology adoption.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the deployment, integration, and operational benefits of autonomous trucking solutions, including understanding the underlying technology, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment.
- Hybrid work environment requiring in-office presence at least 3 days per week at the Coppell, TX office.
