Job Description
The role involves leading a global mapping operations team responsible for high-quality map annotation, process optimization, and performance management to support autonomous vehicle technology. The position focuses on building scalable workflows, ensuring operational excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve mapping processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of operators through coaching, performance feedback, and career support
- Manage the performance of a large, distributed workforce using data-driven systems and standardized procedures
- Ensure production targets for throughput, quality, and productivity are met
- Monitor operational metrics and address performance issues proactively
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and consistency
- Design and implement standardized workflows and documentation for high-quality map annotation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate domain knowledge into scalable training and tools
- Support the launch and scaling of new annotation initiatives and mapping programs
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in Operations or Operational Strategy roles
- 5 years of experience managing people and developing high-performing teams
- Strong experience with process optimization, standardization, and operational scaling
- Experience managing large operational programs with distributed teams
- Strong analytics skills and experience using data to drive performance improvements
- Experience developing clear operational documentation and workflows
- Experience working closely with Product Operations, Training, Data Analytics, and Engineering to improve operational workflows and tools
