Job Description
A senior surveying position responsible for leading survey teams, managing projects, ensuring quality and budget adherence, mentoring staff, and collaborating with clients and other disciplines in the land development and engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise survey staff, including technicians and surveyors.
- Review and approve survey work, plans, and calculations for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare survey documents such as legal descriptions, control sheets, and boundary calculations.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and proposals to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Maintain client relationships and participate in marketing and business development efforts.
- Mentor and train survey staff, conduct staff reviews, and resolve HR issues.
- Ensure quality control of survey deliverables and monitor project scope and scope changes.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and sub-consultants on multi-discipline projects.
- Oversee billing, monitor unbilled time, and address past due accounts.
- Develop and maintain survey standards and ensure compliance with contract scope.
Requirements
- 6-10 years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Valid driver s license.
- Licensed Land Surveyor.
