Job Description
The Survey Project Manager at Atwell, LLC is responsible for leading survey teams, managing project execution from start to finish, reviewing survey data, and ensuring the completion of site plans and construction documents, primarily in land development and renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with a team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
- Review project survey data using industry software and technology.
- Analyze existing site conditions and legal documents relevant to development projects.
- Supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff.
- Oversee large-scale ALTA surveys related to solar and wind energy projects.
- Provide construction-related services, including permit applications, quantity estimates, and transmittals.
- Organize and assemble site plans, construction plans, and related documents.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments within standards and budgets.
- Mentor and develop staff through training, career planning, and professional growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Professional Survey License PLS or RLS
- Minimum of 8 years of survey industry-related work experience
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team
- Prior experience working with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan interpretations, along with Real Estate Documents
