Job Description
A Survey CAD Technician at Atwell, LLC, is responsible for working on land development, renewable energy, and construction projects by producing detailed drawings, analyzing survey data, and coordinating workflows using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software, while supporting design staff and ensuring project standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete project assignments according to standards.
- Generate project-specific drawings such as ALTA surveys, final plats, maps of dedication, construction layouts, and staking.
- Review survey data to analyze existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, easements, and condo documents.
- Edit and modify plans based on revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients following directives.
- Support design staff by guiding drafting practices and procedures.
- Maintain communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status to meet chargeability goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of previous AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
- Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Associated Degree preferred
- Thorough understanding of ALTA surveys, topographical surveys, boundaries, and construction staking
