Job Description
The Senior Proposal Marketing Associate supports the Power Energy practice by leading proposal development, capture strategy, and client positioning efforts within electric utility, transmission, substation, generation, and renewable energy markets. The role involves strategic planning, proposal management, market analysis, and collaboration with leadership to secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of strategic proposals, SOQs, and presentations for Power Energy pursuits
- Drive capture planning, including competitive analysis, positioning, and value propositions
- Facilitate pursuit strategy meetings, go/no-go discussions, and proposal reviews with leadership
- Align proposals with company growth strategies and target markets in collaboration with leadership
- Advise on messaging for electric utilities, transmission, renewable energy clients, and related sectors
- Develop and refine technical proposal narratives for transmission, substations, generation, and renewable projects
- Ensure consistency, compliance, and quality of all client-facing marketing materials
- Mentor Proposal Marketing Associates and oversee content libraries and project data
- Support interview preparation and presentation strategies for pursuits
- Monitor market trends in utility and renewable energy sectors to inform pursuit positioning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Business, or related field
- 10 years of AEC marketing experience with significant focus in Power Energy, utilities, transmission, or renewable energy
- Proven experience leading complex SOQs, RFQs, and RFP responses for electric utility or energy infrastructure clients
- Experience supporting pursuits ranging from mid-sized contracts to large, multi-million-dollar programs
- Strong understanding of capture strategy, competitive positioning, and client relationship development
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud InDesign
- Illustrator and Photoshop skills are preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent writing, editing, and strategic storytelling skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent high-level pursuits with autonomy
- Experience partnering directly with senior leadership and business line directors
- AEC industry experience is required
- Power Energy experience is strongly preferred
