Job Description
The role involves providing technical support to civil design staff by creating and reviewing engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, assessing site conditions from survey data, and collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and high-quality civil land development plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to design staff on drafting practices, standards, and procedures.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to produce civil engineering drawings.
- Create civil engineering plans including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility plans.
- Review survey data and existing site conditions to inform design work.
- Revise plans based on comments from municipalities, agencies, and clients.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to support workflow and project schedules.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; technical certificate or associate degree in drafting or engineering technology preferred.
- 10 years of civil design experience within residential, commercial, or industrial land development required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
