Job Description
The Survey Project Manager at Atwell is responsible for leading survey projects, managing teams, reviewing survey data, and ensuring the successful execution of site plans and construction documents across various development and energy projects, with opportunities for professional growth and flexible work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with a team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
- Review project survey data using industry-standard technology and software.
- Analyze existing site conditions and relevant legal and survey documents for development considerations.
- Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff.
- Oversee large-scale ALTA surveys related to solar or wind energy projects.
- Provide construction-related services, including permit applications, quantity estimates, and transmittals.
- Organize and assemble site plans, construction plans, and related documents.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments efficiently and accurately.
- Mentor and train staff, supporting their professional development and career growth.
Requirements
- Professional Survey License (PLS or RLS) is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of survey industry-related work experience is required.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team is required.
- Prior experience working with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
- An advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan interpretations, along with Real Estate Documents is required.
