Job Description
The role involves managing civil engineering projects by collaborating with teams, analyzing site data, providing technical reports, supporting construction activities, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, surveys, and easement documents
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient execution of project tasks
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize engineering software like AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional engineering licensure (PE license) or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe (implied by the mention of licensure and certification fees and renewals)
- Experience in collaborating with production teams to draft, review, and finalize preliminary and final site plans and construction documents
- Experience analyzing project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Ability to guide and assist junior staff members to ensure project tasks are executed accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency in preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, storm sewer reports, and other technical documents
- Experience providing construction-related services, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages
- Ability to develop project schedules and manage project tasks to ensure completion on time and within budget
- Willingness to develop Project Manager skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role
