Job Description
A Project Manager in Atwell's Civil Engineering group responsible for overseeing diverse land development projects, collaborating on site plans, analyzing survey data, guiding junior staff, preparing technical reports, supporting construction activities, and utilizing engineering software, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, easements, and surveys
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize engineering software like AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Experience in collaborating closely with production teams to assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Ability to analyze project survey data to examine legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience in guiding and assisting junior staff to ensure project-based tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency in preparing a wide range of reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports.
- Experience providing construction-related services, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within budget.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in civil engineering project management or related roles, with a focus on site development projects.
- Ability to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (implied by the job location and company requirements).
