Job Description
The Project Manager in Atwell's Civil Engineering group oversees diverse land development projects, collaborating on site plans, analyzing survey data, guiding junior staff, and utilizing engineering software, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, easements, and survey documents
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Experience in collaborating closely with production teams to assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Ability to analyze existing site conditions by working with project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience in guiding and assisting junior staff to ensure project-based tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency in preparing a wide range of reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, storm sewer reports, and other technical engineering documents.
- Experience providing construction-related services, including permit applications and quantity estimates, and supporting the transition from plans to construction.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within budget.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in civil engineering project management or a similar role, with a demonstrated ability to handle projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Ability to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
- Physical ability to perform tasks related to civil engineering projects, including site visits and fieldwork (implied by construction support responsibilities).
