Job Description
The Project Manager for Atwell's Civil Engineering group oversees diverse land development projects, collaborating on site plans, analyzing survey data, guiding junior staff, and utilizing engineering software to deliver technical reports and construction support, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze project survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, surveys, and easement documents
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering project management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages.
- Experience in collaborating with production teams to draft, review, and finalize preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Ability to analyze project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience in guiding and assisting junior staff to ensure project tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, storm sewer reports, and other technical documents.
- Experience providing construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Strong technical skills in civil engineering design and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to develop project schedules and manage project timelines effectively.
- Willingness to develop project management skills through training and mentoring with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
