Job Description
The Project Manager for Atwell's Civil Engineering group oversees diverse land development projects, collaborating on site plans, analyzing survey data, guiding junior staff, and utilizing engineering software to ensure successful project execution and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze project survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, surveys, and easements
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient completion of project tasks
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize engineering software like AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering project management or related roles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing site plans, construction documents, and reports such as hydrology hydraulic studies, storm sewer reports, and project schedules.
- Ability to analyze project survey data, legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience in providing construction support services, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Ability to guide and assist junior staff, demonstrating leadership and mentorship skills.
- Strong technical skills in civil engineering, including preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with production teams and clients.
- Willingness to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
