Job Description

A Technical Project Manager in the power energy sector responsible for leading multidisciplinary utility-scale renewable and grid projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and technical delivery from feasibility through construction and closeout.

Key Responsibilities

Own the project lifecycle from scope definition to turnover, including proposals, schedules, risk management, and cost control.
Coordinate and review civil, structural, electrical, and other engineering work to ensure compliance with standards and constructability.
Manage quality assurance and quality control plans, submittals, RFIs, and document control processes.
Support construction activities through site visits, review of shop drawings and test reports, and coordination of testing and energization procedures.
Manage internal and external project teams, including engineers, designers, EPCs, vendors, and specialty subcontractors, to align deliverables and mitigate risks.

Requirements

8 years delivering power energy projects consulting, owner’s engineer, or EPCM spanning utility-scale wind, solar, BESS, HV substations, and or transmission.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering or related field.
PE license preferred, multi-state a plus.
PMP certification a plus.
Working knowledge of interconnection studies and design coordination, e.g., ETAP, SKM, PSSE, PSCAD, familiarity with PLS-CADD, POLE, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam.
Experience with owner’s-rep OR, OE roles and utility interfaces, ISO RTO processes.
Familiarity with constructability reviews, commissioning plans, and startup energization.
Knowledge of procurement workflows and major equipment modules, including trackers, inverters, transformers, breakers, relays.
