Job Description
The Project Manager role in Atwell's Civil Engineering group involves managing diverse land development projects, collaborating with teams, analyzing survey data, providing technical expertise, supporting construction activities, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, easements, and surveys
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare engineering reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, land development, or related projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages.
- Experience in preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology, hydraulic studies, storm sewer reports, and project schedules.
- Ability to analyze project survey data, legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience in collaborating with production teams to draft, review, and finalize preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Ability to guide and assist junior staff, providing mentorship and leadership in project tasks.
- Experience in providing construction support services, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Strong technical skills in civil engineering design and documentation.
- Willingness to develop project management skills through training and mentoring with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
