Job Description
A Project Manager in Atwell's Civil Engineering group responsible for overseeing diverse land development projects, collaborating on site plans, analyzing survey data, guiding junior staff, preparing technical reports, supporting construction activities, and utilizing engineering software, with opportunities for growth into a senior project management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, easements, and surveys
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for potential career growth
Requirements
- Experience in civil engineering project management or related field with a focus on site plans, construction documents, and project coordination.
- Proficiency in analyzing project survey data, legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Ability to guide and assist junior staff members to ensure project tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Technical skills to prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations including hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports.
- Experience providing construction-related services such as permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated leadership potential with a focus on developing project management skills through training and mentoring, with the goal of growing into a Project Manager role.
- Educational background in civil engineering or a related field (implied by the technical nature of the role and software proficiency required).
