Job Description
A Land Solutions Project Manager oversees land and right of way acquisition activities for electric transmission infrastructure projects, managing negotiations, contracts, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring project scope, budget, and schedule adherence in a regional, client-facing role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee land and ROW acquisition activities for electric transmission infrastructure
- Manage easement negotiations, rights of entry, surface agreements, damage settlements, and property transactions
- Establish project scope, budgets, and schedules
- Manage contracts and oversee sub-consultants
- Serve as a client liaison, maintaining regional presence and identifying opportunities for support expansion
- Manage project documentation, invoicing, collections, and progress reporting
- Coach and mentor project team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Land Planning, Land Surveying, or equivalent
- At least 4 years of project management experience with a focus on electric transmission, utility infrastructure, or energy-related land and ROW work
- Strong background in easement acquisition and land agreements specific to transmission or high-voltage infrastructure projects
- Expertise negotiating ROW easements, surface leases, encroachment agreements, rights of entry, fee property, and damage settlements
- Familiarity with FERC, state utility commission regulations, and property rights frameworks relevant to transmission development
- Experience with Vision as a project management tool
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally throughout Missouri and surrounding areas, with a focus on the St. Louis market, for client-facing work
