Job Description
The Land Solutions Project Manager oversees land and right-of-way acquisition activities for electric transmission infrastructure projects, managing negotiations, project scope, budgets, and stakeholder relationships, primarily in Wisconsin's Green Bay and Milwaukee regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee land and ROW acquisition activities for electric transmission projects
- Manage easement negotiations, rights of entry, surface agreements, damage settlements, and property transactions
- Establish project scope, budgets, and schedules
- Manage contracts and oversee performance of sub-consultants
- Serve as a client-facing representative to build trust and support project success
- Maintain project documentation, oversee invoicing and collections
- Provide regular financial and progress reports to leadership
- Coordinate and mentor project team members
- Engage in regional travel for client meetings, site visits, and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Land Planning, Land Surveying, or equivalent
- At least 4 years of project management experience with a focus on electric transmission, utility infrastructure, or energy-related land and ROW work
- Strong background in easement acquisition and land agreements specific to transmission or high-voltage infrastructure projects
- Expertise negotiating ROW easements, surface leases, encroachment agreements, rights of entry, fee property, and damage settlements
- Familiarity with FERC, state utility commission regulations, and property rights frameworks relevant to transmission development
- Experience with Vision as a project management tool
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally throughout Wisconsin, with a focus on Green Bay and Milwaukee, for client-facing work
