Job Description
The 1099 Land Agent position at Atwell, LLC involves extensive travel across North Carolina to connect with landowners and secure land for projects, requiring strong negotiation and relationship-building skills in the land acquisition field.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel extensively to project sites across the US.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with landowners.
- Negotiate and execute options, leases, and easement agreements.
- Develop and implement right-of-way strategies.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to the Land Solutions Manager.
- Demonstrate understanding of industry, client goals, and legal aspects.
- Utilize tools and technology to manage projects.
- Perform research and qualify parcel ownership.
- Ensure all agreements are executed with accurate documentation.
- Maintain clear communication with the Atwell team.
Requirements
- Active LLC required for independent contractor status.
- Active real estate license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land acquisition for renewable energy projects, or related fields like residential, commercial, telecommunications, or oil gas.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in overcoming objections and navigating complex situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work schedules and remote locations.
