Job Description

The Health and Safety Specialist at Atwell, LLC is responsible for overseeing and managing safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing safety education and training to employees. This role involves collaboration with various departments to maintain safety protocols and manage safety-related resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage Atwell safety programs for compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Engage in ongoing safety education and training initiatives for team members.
  • Oversee and manage third-party safety data websites.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources for tracking PPE, medical monitoring, and safety-related training.
  • Collaborate with management on safety and client qualifications.
  • Purchase and distribute PPE for employees.
  • Manage and administer the company-wide drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Submit invoices for payment to safety-related vendors.
  • Coordinate company-wide safety communications with Marketing.
  • Create and distribute monthly safety communications with the Director of Safety.
  • Plan, implement, and administer Atwell safety policies.
  • Support workplace safety by overseeing critical safety activities.
  • Maintain safety records and compile detailed statistics for safety assessments.
  • Manage the Company Fleet utilizing GEOTab for safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Associate degree preferred OR equivalent experience.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Must be at an intermediate skill level for MS Office, specifically MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with all levels of staff, and multi-task as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with confidential information.
