Job Description
The Enterprise Data Engineer supports enterprise systems and data platforms by developing data pipelines, managing system integrations, and providing technical support for ERP and related infrastructure to enable scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ERP platform and integrations
- Maintain, upgrade, test, and monitor ERP system performance
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes supporting data platforms
- Integrate data from ERP and other systems for analytics and reporting
- Collaborate with BI teams to support Power BI datasets and reports
- Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems such as ERP and Quickbase
- Document system configurations, data pipelines, and integration processes
- Support on-premises Windows IIS environment for server stability
- Assist in transitioning manual deployments to automated CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Monitor SQL Server health, backups, performance, and storage
- Automate routine server maintenance and data tasks using scripting tools like PowerShell
Requirements
- Support ERP or enterprise business systems with experience in ERP platform technical support, system maintenance, upgrades, testing, and performance monitoring.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to troubleshoot data issues and support data platform health, backups, performance, and storage management.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes supporting data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or similar.
- Familiarity with Power BI data models and analytics environments to support BI development and reporting solutions.
- Basic experience with or a strong desire to learn Azure DevOps pipeline configuration and automation, demonstrating a DevOps mindset.
- Practical knowledge of Windows Server environments, including IIS site configuration, SSL, and automation scripting using PowerShell or similar tools.
- Ability to provide technical support and troubleshooting for the organization’s ERP platform and related integrations, including integration between ERP, Quickbase, and other applications.
- Experience supporting on-premises infrastructure, including Windows IIS environments and SQL Server health, backups, and performance monitoring.
- Ability to document system configurations, data pipelines, and integration processes to support ongoing platform improvements.
- Ability to assist with deployment support by transitioning manual local deployments into automated CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
- Minimum of supporting ERP or enterprise business systems experience.
- Proficiency in using PowerShell or similar scripting tools to automate routine server maintenance or data movement tasks.
