Job Description
Atwell, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work as an Owner's Engineer in the Renewable Energy market, focusing on the design and oversight of electrical systems for solar PV and energy storage projects. The role involves project management, construction supervision, and ensuring quality in the design of medium to high voltage utility substations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and direct detailed design of medium to high voltage utility substations
- Ensure Atwell quality procedures are followed
- Perform QA QC for deliverables to clients
- Manage schedule, budget, and quality of assigned projects
- Supervise electrical design projects for utility scale Wind, Solar PV, and Battery Storage
- Utilize engineering power systems software for design and analysis
- Design and oversee electrical infrastructure for renewable power sources
- Support renewable energy proposals and perform electrical engineering roles
- Develop electrical designs for battery storage, solar, EV DC fast charging, and microgrid technologies
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years proven electrical engineering design experience in the DC power, battery energy storage, or microgrid industry industrial scale to utility scale projects.
- BSEE or equivalent experience.
- Experience in electrical design, construction and commissioning associated with power generating facilities including BOP Electrical Design and Project Management.
- Experience working with IPPs, Utilities, ISOs, EPCs and Developers.
- Real-world project design engineering construction experience with a combination of battery storage, solar, and alternative energy related technologies.
