Job Description
The Electrical Designer will be responsible for engineering design in the Renewable Energy and Utility sectors, focusing on utility-scale projects such as Wind, Solar PV, and Battery Storage systems. The role involves utilizing engineering software and ensuring quality procedures are followed while collaborating with lead engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Atwell quality procedures are followed
- Perform QA QC for deliverables to clients
- Electrical design of utility scale Wind, Solar PV and Battery Storage design projects
- Utilize engineering power systems software such as PSCAD, AutoCAD, PVSyst and/or PVCase
- Work closely with lead engineers to run design and performance software for energy storage and renewables
- Develop electrical designs for battery storage, solar, EV DC fast charging and microgrid related technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 3 plus years of experience in Renewable Energy or Utility projects.
- Good understanding of utility-scale engineering design, specifically working on utility scale solar and BESS projects.
- Electrical design of utility scale Wind, Solar PV and Battery Storage design projects.
- Utilize various engineering power systems software, such as PSCAD, AutoCAD, PVSyst and/or PVCase.
- Apply real-world project design engineering construction experience with a combination of battery storage, solar, and alternative energy related technologies.
- Develop electrical designs for battery storage, solar, EV DC fast charging and microgrid related technologies.
