Job Description
The Discipline Manager in Power and Energy at Atwell, LLC leads technical design and project development for renewable energy projects such as Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems, managing engineering teams and ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Solar PV, Wind, and BESS projects, providing technical expertise and guidance
- Lead technical design efforts for renewable energy projects to ensure engineering excellence and successful project outcomes
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and high performance
- Oversee project development from concept through completion, maintaining quality and efficiency standards
- Collaborate with leadership to align strategies and develop annual business plans
- Provide technical oversight, review project deliverables, and implement best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of professional experience in renewable energy projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing project deliverables
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously across the United States
- Ability to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Solar PV, Wind, and BESS projects, providing deep technical expertise and guidance
- Ability to lead technical design efforts across renewable energy projects, ensuring excellence in engineering and project outcomes
- Experience managing and mentoring a small team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Experience overseeing project development from concept through completion, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Ability to collaborate closely with the VP of Power and Energy to align strategies and goals within the discipline and provide yearly business planning
