Job Description

The position involves leading and managing large-scale power infrastructure projects within the Power Energy team, providing strategic technical leadership, client relationship management, team development, and overseeing project execution to support company growth in the utility and energy markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee Power Delivery projects across transmission, distribution, substations, protection and controls, interconnection, and related electrical infrastructure.
  • Provide strategic technical leadership and direction for engineering, design, project management, and project execution within the Power Energy team.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Associate Directors, Project Managers, engineers, designers, and technical staff.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting project delivery from planning through execution.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to grow the company's presence in the Power Delivery market and identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop, retain, and recruit top talent to support long-term team growth.
  • Drive annual business planning, including revenue forecasting, staffing, and market growth initiatives.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal processes, standards, and quality practices for project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, utility clients, developers, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • PE license highly preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Power Energy, electric utility, consulting, or related power infrastructure work
  • Strong experience supporting power delivery projects, including one or more of the following areas: transmission, distribution, substations, protection and controls, interconnection, power system studies, or broader utility infrastructure
  • Proven track record in client-facing leadership roles, with strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, with a passion for talent development and organizational growth
  • Strong strategic planning and business leadership skills, including experience with annual planning, team development, staffing strategy, and revenue growth initiatives
  • Technical understanding of engineering and design workflows relevant to power delivery, utility infrastructure, and high-voltage electrical projects
  • Experience partnering with utility clients, renewable energy developers, independent power producers, or large-scale infrastructure clients preferred
  • Ability to oversee project performance, manage competing priorities, and support teams across multiple active projects
