Job Description

The job involves leading survey projects, managing client relationships, and ensuring financial stewardship while fostering team collaboration and mentoring. The role requires strategic planning, business development, and maintaining high-quality standards in surveying excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an annual Project Manager Business Plan.
  • Collaborate with clients and management to define project objectives and create proposals.
  • Negotiate and secure signed agreements with clients.
  • Manage project invoicing and accounts receivable collection.
  • Foster internal communication and encourage dialogue across teams.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships and address concerns promptly.
  • Drive growth through marketing support and nurturing client relationships.
  • Maintain efficient project documentation via web-based software.
  • Coach, counsel, and mentor team members.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in project inputs.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and participate in professional societies.
  • Achieve performance objectives related to chargeability and revenue goals.
  • Apply fundamental survey and engineering concepts independently.
  • Organize the project team and assign responsibilities.
  • Analyze project information and intervene to meet objectives.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, expenditures, and invoicing.
  • Report project outcomes to management for continuous improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders to define timeframes, budgets, and project schedules.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field surveying, engineering, or similar is required.
  • Proven experience in survey project management and leadership roles.
  • Professional licensure certification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong listening abilities.
  • Ability to independently apply fundamental engineering, environmental, land planning, and survey concepts.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to business development efforts.
