Job Description
This position involves leading survey projects through strategic planning, client collaboration, team mentorship, and technical expertise, with a focus on delivering high-quality surveying services while managing project finances and fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual survey project management plans.
- Collaborate with clients and management to define project objectives and prepare proposals.
- Negotiate and secure contractual agreements with clients before project initiation.
- Manage project invoicing, accounts receivable, and ensure financial compliance.
- Foster internal communication and coordinate across teams and sectors.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns promptly.
- Support business development through marketing, presentations, and proposal follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and facilitate collaboration via web-based tools.
- Coach and mentor team members to promote professional growth.
- Ensure project inputs meet quality standards and adhere to industry best practices.
- Stay informed on industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
- Achieve performance targets related to chargeability, revenue, and project delivery.
- Apply survey and engineering concepts independently as needed.
- Organize project teams, assign responsibilities, and collaborate with sub-consultants.
- Analyze project data and trends to ensure objectives are met.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and expenditures to meet financial goals.
- Report project outcomes and insights to management for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project timeframes, budgets, and staffing needs.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment to achieve collective results.
Requirements
- Proven experience in survey project management and leadership roles.
- Ability to independently apply fundamental survey and engineering concepts as needed.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong listening abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to business development efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as surveying, engineering, or similar; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Professional licensure certification in surveying, engineering, or related field.
