Job Description

A site design engineer responsible for creating and analyzing site plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including tasks such as grading, utility design, stormwater management, permitting, and supporting project development and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design residential, commercial, and industrial site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Prepare conceptual site layouts, grading analyses, and site layout plans
  • Assist in producing final construction drawings and permit applications
  • Conduct site analysis reports, utility computations, stormwater reports, and earthwork analysis
  • Support project managers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Attend client and public meetings to communicate project details
  • Assist with business development efforts related to project opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 0-2 years related experience in engineering or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to interact with a variety of people.
  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends to complete projects as necessary.
  • Physical ability to frequently sit and talk or hear, and occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Physical ability to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
