Job Description
This role involves supporting civil engineering design projects by creating detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, reviewing survey data, and collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and high-quality deliverables in land development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to design staff on drafting practices, standards, and procedures.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to produce civil engineering drawings.
- Create site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, and construction staking drawings.
- Review project survey data to assess existing site conditions and key development factors.
- Revise plans based on comments from municipalities, agencies, and clients.
- Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to support workflow and project schedules.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; technical certificate or associate degree in drafting or engineering technology preferred.
- 4 to 10 years of civil design experience within residential, commercial, or industrial land development required.
- Experience with land development projects on Maryland’s Eastern Shore is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
