Job Description
The role involves supporting civil engineering design projects by creating and reviewing drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating with project teams to meet project goals in land development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to design staff on drafting practices, standards, and procedures
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to produce civil engineering drawings
- Create site layout, grading, stormwater management, sewer, water, and construction plans
- Review survey data and existing site conditions to inform design
- Revise plans based on feedback from municipalities, agencies, and clients
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to support workflow and project schedules
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; technical certificate or associate degree in drafting or engineering technology preferred.
- 4 to 10 years of civil design experience within residential, commercial, or industrial land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Experience with land development projects on Maryland’s Eastern Shore is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
